Post-Construction Cleaning in London
Renovations leave behind fine dust, paint splatters, and debris that regular cleaning cannot handle. Our post-construction specialists use industrial-grade equipment and techniques to remove construction residue from every surface, leaving your newly renovated space move-in ready.
Post-construction cleaning is the job between the builders leaving and the room being usable. Fine dust from cutting, sanding and plastering gets into every surface, track and fabric in the property, and it keeps settling for days after the work stops. It does not come out with a standard visit, and attempting one usually spreads it. Cleaners who take this work in London bring the equipment and the patience it needs, and they price by the number of rooms affected and the trade involved. You see the hourly rate on the profile before you confirm the booking.
What is included
- Fine dust and debris removal
- Paint splatter and adhesive cleanup
- Window and fixture polishing
- Safe disposal of construction waste
How a builders clean is done
Debris and offcuts go first, bagged for disposal. Then the property is worked from the ceiling down: light fittings, coving, tops of doors and frames, walls wiped where the finish allows, radiators, skirting, then every horizontal surface. New sanitaryware, tiles and worktops are washed off — protective film peeled, plaster splashes and adhesive residue removed, grout haze cleared. Window frames, tracks and glass are scraped and polished, which is often the longest single task. Floors come last: swept, vacuumed with a filtered machine, then washed. A second pass a day or two later is normal, because dust lifted on the first visit settles again overnight.
When to book it
Book once the trades are finished and the dust sheeting is up, not while snagging is still going on — a clean scheduled around live work has to be paid for twice. Allow a full day for anything larger than a single room, and expect the first visit to be about removing bulk rather than finishing. Ventilate the property beforehand if you can. Tell us the room count, the trade involved and whether the floors are new, because a protected floor and a freshly laid one are cleaned very differently. Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the booked start.
